Genesis Urena, LCSW

Genesis is the founder and Clinical Director of New Hope Psychotherapy, holding active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credentials in NY, NJ, FL, WI, and MA. A graduate of Fordham University, Genesis has extensive experience working with individuals (ages 5+), couples, and families.

Genesis specializes in trauma resolution and anxiety, utilizing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients process painful past experiences and find lasting relief. His approach is client-centered and integrative, drawing heavily from Trauma-Informed Care, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and the Prepare/Enrich Method for couples.

His clinical passion is helping clients find restoration, purpose, and passion by addressing the core issues that impact intimacy, self-worth, and professional fulfillment. Genesis established this practice to ensure every client receives a highly specialized, results-driven, and empowering path toward healing.

Jeremiah Garcia, MSW, Provisionally Licensed Therapist (Supervised by Genesis Urena, LCSW)

Jeremiah is a provisionally licensed therapist and a graduate of Fordham University, where he earned a Masters in Social Work. He works with individuals seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships, offering support under the direct clinical supervision of the Director.

Jeremiah's core passion is helping young adults and professionals overcome barriers like procrastination, lack of focus, and career burnout. He provides motivating, results-driven therapy focused on identifying sources of motivation, transforming ineffective coping patterns, and achieving a balanced life.

Drawing on extensive experience in intensive hospital and school-based settings, Jeremiah utilizes a blend of supportive and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches. He creates an engaging and safe space for self-discovery, helping clients successfully implement techniques for success in academic, professional, and personal settings.
